Mission
The mission of the DeSoto County Sheriff's Department is to protect and serve the citizens of our county. We strive to eradicate criminal activity and conditions that have a detrimental impact upon public safety. We believe all citizens should be treated with respect and dignity. We will work in an environment based on honesty, trust and mutual respect for fellow employees and the citizens we serve.
This mission statement was made in January of 2008, and it still holds true today. As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the county, it is a privilege and honor to serve the citizens of this county. I will never take lightly the trust that you have put in me to keep this county safe for all citizens.
Goals
It is the goal of the command staff and employees of the DeSoto County Sheriff's Department to always conduct themselves in a way that would make you proud of your department and your county. We are here to serve you and keep you safe. We take our job very seriously and have a strong desire to make the sheriff's department and DeSoto County the very best it can be so that the citizens can be proud of where they live and work. We will always strive to make things better for each and every citizen in this county. Together, we can make DeSoto County the most desirable place to live and work in Mississippi.
