Information about Availability of COVID-19 Vaccinations

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), along with the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the National Guard, continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination appointments at MSDH drive through sites based on the number of vaccines allocated to the state of Mississippi each week by the federal government.
*The number of vaccines the Mississippi receives varies from week to week. This impacts appointment availability.
*Second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available at certain locations on certain days. More appointments will be added as they come available.
- To be effective, TWO doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are required.
* Both doses must be the same vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna).
- The second Pfizer vaccine dose is due 21 days after the first dose and the second Moderna vaccine dose is due 28 days after the first dose.
(*Both are still effective if received more than 21 or 28 days apart*)
- To make sure you receive the same type of vaccine, please schedule your second dose appointment online and select the same location where you received your first dose. (If unavailable, keep checking back)
*Mississippi is currently offering COVID-19 immunizations to the following:
-All Healthcare Workers and EMT / paramedics
- Persons 65 years of age or older
- Persons 18 - 64 years of age with underlying medical conditions
