Veteran Services
DeSoto County Veteran Services is a public resource for Veterans, Service Members, Surviving Spouses, and Veterans' families. The primary goal of this office is to assist these residents in receiving any and all Federal and State benefits for which they are eligible.
Federal benefits include, but are not limited to Compensation, Death Pension, Housebound Assistance, and Aid and Attendance. All benefits are subject to eligibility and approval through the Department of Veterans Affairs.
PACT Act
The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. This law has helped provide generations of Veterans- and their survivors- with the care and benefits they've earned and deserve.
Benefits
The State of Mississippi provides multiple benefits as well. Some of those include Concealed Carry Permit benefits, Veteran License Plates, Burial Benefits, and much more. All benefits must be approved by the Mississippi State Veterans Affairs Board.

MakeTheConnection.net connects Veterans, their families and friends, and other supporters to mental health information, a tool for finding local mental health resources, and videos of Veterans sharing their inspiring stories of recovery./ImageRepository/Document?documentID=7441 The site is run by the Veterans Administration and is free to use and accessible to everyone.
