Court Security Services is responsible for the physical security of the county courthouse and protective security for county personnel and visitors. Court Security Officers conduct security screening at public entrances, monitor surveillance video, patrol the building and grounds, and respond to emergencies on the court house property.
Court Security Officers and Bailiffs also serve in each of the individual courtrooms maintaining order and assisting court personnel. They are also responsible for transporting and escorting prisoners from jail to court appearances, as well as transporting prisoners from other jurisdictions to the DeSoto County Adult Detention Facility when needed.
