North Delta Home Delivered Meals

Meals delivered to seniors who are not able leave homes without assistance. An in-home assessment is completed to determine eligibility. First priority is given to individuals who are homebound. Call 662-561-4100.

Destiny Delivers

Volunteers deliver meals twice a week to seniors who live in Southaven and Olive Branch areas. Possible waiting list for meal service. Call 662-420-2949 for information.

Hernando Meals on Wheels

Volunteers deliver meals with a caring connection to seniors over 60 who are unable to provide quality nutrition for themselves. Hernando area only. Home visit is required. Call 662-403-0944 or visit www.mealsonwheelshernando.com.

Mid-South Food Bank (Mobile Pantry Distribution)

The Mobile Pantry distributes food daily in various locations across the Mid-South. You must show an ID or other proof of residency in the county/zip code designated for distribution. To find a location, visit www.midsouthfoodbank.org/find-food

Senior SNAP Benefits (Food Stamps)

Mississippi SNAP provides monthly benefits that help low income households buy food. Special Rules for people 60 or older:

  • Medical expenses more than $35 a month, paid by the senior, are deducted from qualifying income.
  • Households consisting entirely of elderly or disabled members are not subject to work requirements.
