A new traffic pattern signals the McIngvale Road Realignment Project will soon be complete. Until then, drivers will face detours.
Starting May 21, 2021, the City of Hernando will close McIngvale Road and all access points between Classic Drive South and the access road south of Hernando Hills Elementary School. Both north and south bound traffic on McIngvale Road will utilize the newly constructed section of McIngvale Road and the school access road.
Direct access to McIngvale Road from Clubhouse Drive and Classic Drive South will be closed. Local residential traffic will use Classic Drive North to access McIngvale Road and continue accordingly.
This is a City of Hernando project. The County is helping Hernando get the word out to drivers.
The realignment of McIngvale Road is part of the -269/McIngvale Road interchange. The new exit is expected to relieve some of the congestion around i-55 and Commerce.
