DeSoto County Supervisors received a donation for a park planned in Lewisburg. Former members of an organization called Fight 4 DeSoto presented a check for $ 7,383.79.
Fight 4 DeSoto was formed to fight the annexation by Olive Branch. The group dissolved after the annexation was finalized.
The donation is earmarked for a new park planned for Craft Road across from Lewisburg Schools.
"We'd like to thank the group Fight 4 DeSoto for presenting a check today," said District 5 Supervisor Michael Lee. "We're excited about adding the donation to the money we already have, to build a great new park in the Lewisburg community."
