Environmental Services will hold it’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Day & Tire Recycle on Saturday, October 25 from 8am– 2pm at the Landers Center, Southwest corner parking lot. This is the fifteenth year DeSoto County has offered a safe way for residents to dispose items classified as hazardous household waste. Some examples are oil based paint, flea/tick powders, pool chemicals, anti-freeze motor oil, car batteries and more. Also being accepted are old tires and electronics. A max of 5 tires may be recycled per citizen. The E-Cycle Trailer will be on-site for those disposing of old computers, printers, TV’s, cell phones, microwaves, etc. For inquiries please call 662-469-8152.
