Household waste pick up in unincorporated DeSoto County will not run on July 4 and will be delayed by one day. Normal pick up schedules will return the following week. County curbside rubbish and debris collection will be closed on July 4 and will return for regularly scheduled routes Monday – Wednesday and Friday. The County’s Rubbish Pit on Sandidge Road will also be closed Thursday, July 4 and will re-open on Friday at its regular hours of 7:00 am-4:30 pm. County law enforcement and other public safety and emergency services will not be affected by the holiday closings.
