Citizens of DeSoto County, Homeowner’s Associations, and Community Organizations can take advantage of this once a year collection by clearing their household chemicals, including old paint, and electronic waste, from their properties. Household Hazardous Waste is defined as unused or leftover products containing toxic chemicals. Any product which is labeled CAUTION, POISONOUS, TOXIC, FLAMMABLE, OR CORROSIVE is considered a household hazardous waste.
This year’s event will have a special addition. We will be accepting old waste tires for recycling. (up to 5 per citizen) If a citizen has more than five, we ask they be taken to the DeSoto County Rubbish Pit at 5255 W. Sandidge Road in Olive Branch for proper recycling. For any questions about our event please contact 662-469-8180.
