The new signs offer clear, concise and consistent signage for all of our park visitors while not intruding on natural and historic settings. The signs were created with the same specifications, appearance and utility as part of ongoing effort to brand all of the DeSoto Greenways and Parks facilities with similar benefits and attributes. "These signs look awesome", said Fourth District Supervisor Lee Caldwell.
The design standards follow closely with the US Army Corps of Engineers and National Park Service (NPS) Sign Program policies by utilizing the NPS Sign Program Standards in the planning, design and acquisition of all signs.
The signs are part of an effort that began last Fall when the DeSoto County Greenways and Parks Commissioners recently agreed to inventory, prioritize and make necessary improvements and upgrades to each of the County owned Greenways and Parks.
