Keep DeSoto County Beautiful

Through a collaborative effort between the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors and the County's municipalities, Keep DeSoto County Beautiful formed as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful in 2015. By maintaining a community that is aesthetically pleasing, it is an investment in property values, deters crime, sets a good example to all ages, and invites economic investment in this community.

Keep DeSoto County Beautiful has a ten member board that guides the organization in county wide beautification efforts. The board is comprised of members from each of the county's municipalities and all five Supervisor Districts (PDF).

Meetings

Adopt-A-Road

Adopt-A-Road is a volunteer litter control program in DeSoto County, MS. This program allows citizens and organizations to enhance the level of community pride in their surrounding area by reducing litter. Groups or individuals agree to adopt at least one (1) mile of roadway in the unincorporated area of DeSoto County. Program participants agree to pick up litter as often as necessary to keep the area clean.
